Insomnia & Sleep Disorder Treatment
Better sleep leads to better mental health.
Poor sleep affects everything. At Neurvana, Allison Bonham, PMHNP-BC, addresses insomnia with both medication support (when needed) and practical, holistic strategies to restore healthy sleep patterns, available via secure telehealth for adults throughout Utah.
Sleep is one of the most underestimated factors in mental health. In my practice, I see it constantly — patients being treated for anxiety or depression who are making slow progress, and when we look closer, they have not had a full night of restorative sleep in years. Treating the sleep changes everything.
Insomnia is rarely just one thing. It can be driven by anxiety, ADHD, hormone shifts, medication side effects, or deeply ingrained habits that the nervous system has come to rely on. Finding the right approach means understanding which of these factors is at play for you specifically. Sometimes that means medication. Sometimes it means targeted behavioral strategies. Usually it means both, applied thoughtfully and adjusted over time.
