Compassionate Depression Treatment

You don’t have to do this alone.

Neurvana offers supportive, effective care for depression and low mood. Allison Bonham, PMHNP-BC, provides thorough psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management to help restore energy, motivation, and joy, available via secure telehealth for adults throughout Utah.

Depression is one of the most common conditions I treat, and also one of the most misunderstood. It is not sadness. It is not weakness. And it is not something you can simply push through with enough willpower. Depression is a biological condition that affects how the brain regulates mood, energy, motivation, and even physical sensation. When it goes untreated or undertreated, it quietly takes things from you — your drive, your relationships, your sense of self.

What I have learned from working with patients navigating depression is that the medication piece, while often essential, is rarely the whole story. Sleep disruption, nutritional deficiencies, chronic stress, and social isolation all feed depression and make it harder to treat. The patients who recover most fully are usually the ones whose care addresses all of these layers, not just the chemistry.

At Neurvana, we take time to understand your full picture before settling on a plan. That means understanding your history, your lifestyle, what you have tried before, and what matters most to you in your recovery.

How We Help

  • Major depressive disorder, seasonal depression, and persistent low mood

  • Medication management with careful monitoring and adjustment

  • Holistic focus on sleep, nutrition, movement, and social connection

What to Expect

We take time to understand your full story and work collaboratively on a plan that feels right for you. There is no rushed appointment here. You will be heard, and your treatment will reflect who you actually are, not just your diagnosis.

Who This Is For
